How often do you actually re-check a metric once it’s live?

Once a metric makes it into a dashboard, it tends to stick around. If the SQL still runs and the dashboard refreshes, nobody has much reason to question it. But over time, a filter changes, a source table changes, or people start using the metric a little differently from how it was originally defined. Nothing is technically broken, but the number may no longer mean the same thing. What usually makes your team revisit a metric?
