OneLake Shortcuts with Delegated Identity Not Working as Expected – End Users Still Need Source Workspace Permissions

Hi everyone, I’m testing OneLake-to-OneLake shortcuts using Delegated Identity in Microsoft Fabric, but the behavior I’m seeing seems more like user identity passthrough . Setup I have two Fabric workspaces: Workspace W1 Contains Lakehouse L1 This is the source/producer Workspace W2 Contains Lakehouse L2 This is the consumer I created shortcuts in L2 (W2) pointing to tables in L1 (W1) . While creating the shortcuts, I selected Delegated Identity rather than Pass-through. The OneLake connection uses Service Principal authentication , and the Service Principal has Viewer access on W1 . Expected
