Read-Only Apache Iceberg Catalog for Kafka

Nice to see https://streamhouse.com becoming a norm and a collective effort. It's not quite the definition I was hoping for, but I get where it's coming from. Ideal state: the stream is the table. Zero-copy, and data is queryable as soon as a commit lands on Kafka. A true real-time lakehouse. The problem: most solutions either don't fully solve this or end up being yet another system to build around. Confluent / WarpStream Tableflow: fully managed Iceberg tables, but still a copy of the Kafka topics and not true real-time, but works for most orgs. Aiven, RisingWave, Redpanda, AutoMQ and severa
